How to Print Label & Packing List using Print Invoice, Packing Slip, Delivery Note & Label Plugin

Plugin facilities you tomized boxes.

Items get packed into volume and maximum weight allowed.

Admin needs tomized box with the conditions:

1. The Volume of the items must be less than or equal to Volume of the box. AND
2. The Total weight of the items must be less than or equal to maximum weight allowed per box minus box weight.

While using Box Packing option, make sure that you have set accurate dimensions(length,width,Height) and weight for your products. If you need to set the weight as shown below:

Note: If any of the item in the order is not set with dimension and weight in Individual Product Page, then each of the item in the order is packed individually.

Box Packing for Printing Shipping Label and Packing List

The Admin settings for box packing are as shown below:

1. Packing Type: If you wish tomized box, select Box Packing option.
2. Box Sizes: Once you select Box Packing option, Box Sizes settings appears. Click Add Box to setup the dimensions of Box. Enter the following fields:
   • Length: Enter the required length of the box.
   • Width: Enter the required width of the box.
   • Height: Enter the required height of the box.
   • Box Weight: For heavy packing box, enter the weight of the box  so it gets considered while packing items intomized box.
   • Max Weight: Enter the maximum weight allowed per box.
   • Enabled: Select the checkbox to avail the box for packing.
     Note: Unit of Dimensions and weight are same as in the General Settings.
   • Click Remove Selected Box(es) tomized box from the Box Sizes settings.

All the cart items are packed intomized boxes.

Let’s understand Box packing through examples.

Example1:

The Box Sizes settings is as shown below:

Suppose an order has five items – Shopping Bag. Here, is the  Dimension and Weight  of Shopping Bag.

Item name	Weight of the Item(lb)	Length	Width	Height
Shopping Bag	14	11	8	2

The Packing list for order is as shown below:

Calculation:

Volume of the Shipping Bag = 11 x 8 x 2 = 176

Total volume the first box can carry = 11.25 x 8.25 x 2.625 = 243.63

Total volume the Second box can carry = 11.25 x 8.25 x 4.375 = 406.05

Total volume the third box can carry = 11.25 x 8.25 x 7.15 = 663.60

Total volume of the five Shipping Bags= 176 x 5 = 880

So the plugin packs first three items in the third box= 14 (weight of each item) x 3= 42

This can be fitted into the third box as it can carry volume 176 x 3 is 528 and weight 14 x 3 is 42 which is less than 50(maximum weight allowed) -5 (box weight) is 45

And the remaining two items are packed in the Second box as it can carry volume 176 x 2 is 352 and weight up to 50.

The Shipping Label for the same Order is as shown below:

Example2:

The Box Sizes settings is as shown below:

Suppose an order(same as in Example1) has five items – Shopping Bag. Here, is the  Dimension and Weight  of Shopping Bag.

The Packing list for order is as shown below:

The Shipping Label for the same Order is as shown below:

Calculation:

Volume of the Shipping Bag = 11 x 8 x 2 = 176

Total volume the first box can carry = 11.25 x 8.25 x 2.625 = 243.63

Total volume the Second box can carry = 11.25 x 8.25 x 4.375 = 406.05

Total volume the third box can carry = 11.25 x 8.25 x 7.15 = 663.60

Total volume of the five Shipping Bags= 176 x 5 = 880

This order needs three boxes(Second Box – 2, First Box -1).

-Second box carries 4 items(2 each).

-and remaining one item is packed in the first box.

The second box can carry volume 176 x 2 is 352  and weight 14 x 2 is 28. Like this two box can carry 4 items.

And the remaining one item is packed in the first box as it can carry volume 176  and weight up to 50.
